I booked the Home Records Index Visit after spending half a day looking for a property document that turned out to be in a box in the store room. After the session, everything I have is on one page. It sounds simple but it made a real difference. I keep the index page in the front of my main folder now.

My mother is in her early seventies and was anxious about not having her records in any kind of order. I organised the Family Reference Workshop for us and two of my siblings. The facilitator was calm and patient throughout, and Mum felt comfortable with the pace. We left with a summary that four of us now have copies of.

I completed the full Retirement Records Programme over about five weeks. It was thorough without being rushed. At the end I had a printed handbook that I honestly did not expect to be as useful as it is — my husband and I both refer to it when we need to locate something. Very clear, very practical.

What I appreciated most was that nobody tried to advise me on anything financial. The visit was genuinely focused on where things are and how to label them — nothing else. It felt respectful. The index page is now pinned inside my filing cabinet door.

I did my session via video call since travelling to Kota Kinabalu is not always easy. The printed materials arrived by post a few days later and were well-packaged. The session itself was straightforward — I was not sure what to expect, but the facilitator guided it clearly. The labelling kit was a nice practical addition.

My husband passed earlier this year and I found I did not know where half of our documents were. A colleague suggested Twiline. The programme took about four weeks and by the end I had gone through everything properly. The handbook they produced for me has been genuinely helpful during a difficult period.

Session Stories in Detail
Case Study 01
A Retired Teacher in Penampang
The Situation
A retired primary school teacher in her late sixties had accumulated decades of household records — land documents, pension correspondence, healthcare cards, and family identification papers — across multiple locations. Locating any specific document typically took over 30 minutes and sometimes required her daughter's help by phone.
What We Did
Twiline conducted a Home Records Index Visit at her home. Over two hours, we mapped the location of all major document categories and noted which folders or boxes each was stored in. A printed one-page index was produced during the session, and a labelling kit was left for her to apply to her existing folders.
The Outcome
The participant reported that locating documents now takes her under two minutes in most cases. Her daughter, who lives in a different district, now also has a copy of the index in case she needs to help locate something remotely. The index required no changes after the session — the labelling kit covered the rest.
"I did not realise how much time I spent looking for things until I stopped spending it. The index is exactly what I needed — one page, all in one place." — Participant, Penampang
Case Study 02
A Three-Sibling Family in Kota Kinabalu
The Situation
Three adult siblings living in different areas of Kota Kinabalu were concerned that only one of them — the sibling living closest to their elderly father — knew where his key documents were stored. If that sibling was unavailable, there was no reference anyone else could use.
What We Did
Twiline facilitated a Family Reference Workshop with the father and all three siblings present. The session produced a shared reference summary showing where each main document category was stored in the father's home. Each family member received a printed copy and a binder cover for their own use.
The Outcome
All three siblings now hold the same reference. The family reports that the workshop also prompted a brief conversation about which sibling would hold a backup copy of the index going forward — a practical outcome the session was not designed to produce but that arose naturally from the shared reference exercise.
"Having all of us in the same room for two hours was itself useful. The reference summary just made it concrete." — Participant sibling, Kota Kinabalu
